Random Update and a Plea For Help

I have ten minutes to write a blog because I’m already up past my bedtime so here is a quick update.

My daughter just bred her goats to a stinky buck and we are so happy he is out of our lives until next year.  Tonight she unloaded the last of the winter hay her animals need.  She’s working on fencing so she can get meat rabbits next week and she is looking for a plucker so she can slaughter all the meat birds.  Just watching everything she does on her farm while keeping up with her studies is exhausting.

I bought a guitar a couple months ago because as much as I love learning the violin, I have always wanted to play the guitar.  I had dreams of teaching myself to play it but of course that didn’t work out so I am now taking lessons.  My girls want to play the ukulele so we’re all learning that as well.  We sure know how to have a good time at our house.  Tonight I realized that I can now play 5 musical instruments.  I play them all badly but still…

We’re going on eight months of this crazy, strict, gut-healing diet and it is going amazingly well.  We’re not eating everything, every day that we’re supposed to be eating but we’re doing well enough and I can see a big difference in everyone’s health.  The food we eat is so good that I could never get sick of it and I’m doing a good job of getting everyone around me addicted to it as well.

Ok, that’s all I have time for.  If you are reading this blog (funny but people really do read it) then I need you to send me questions to answer and article ideas or it’s going to be a long month of me trying to figure out what to write about every day.

Carry on.

I would love to read the part two (and three and four or however many parts there are) of yesterday’s post. I loved the analogy of bumps turning into precipes–that is exactly what I’ve been experiencing the last couple months. I guess that’s one of the things that keeps me coming back for more of your writing: there is always a bit of tension, something held back; it’s not the whole story, and dang it I want the whole story. 🙂

I would love to hear more about yesterdays post, too. Honestly, I’d read about anything you wrote. I followed your blog years ago when it was The Lazy Organizer and kept up with your journey until you quit blogging completely. I’d thought about writing you a couple of times to thank you and let you know how much I got from your posts, especially the ones geared toward self education as an adult, but figured that might be a bit weird coming from someone you’ve never met. Anyway, THANK YOU!
If any of these are too personal, just disregard. A few ideas:
Your time of illness and/or depression, an update on your family, how you and your husband/children work out the partial living abroad arrangement, why you switched from a mostly vegan diet to an animal based one, how you organize and create a plan for your educational goals, how homeschooling/unschooling is going, what you’ve read/are reading.

I would love to hear more about your diet, your farming, how your alignment experiment is going etc. I have always loved reading your blog and all the interesting things you’re up to
